WEST WOOD: REMAKE turns item decisions into survival decisions. A current Remake walkthrough shows a weight-limited logbook inventory and a hotbar used for supplies, while the official Roblox badge list confirms three important item families: medallions can be purchased, a flamethrower can be used against the Beast, and a cursed amulet can summon a spirit that kills the player. Those facts establish real objectives, but they do not publish every item name, price, effect, rarity, or spawn.
Use this index to decide what an item is for before spending, carrying, or activating it. Read the current in-game text first. Keep a fallback route. Test one variable at a time. Advice copied from the original West Wood should be treated as unverified until the Remake produces the same result.

Handle cursed amulets safelyRead the live item information
Open the logbook or current inventory view before moving into danger. Check the displayed name, description, weight, quantity, and any equip or use prompt. If a detail is not shown, do not fill it with a memory from another game or an older build.
Item names are especially important around similar objectives. A medallion purchase, a cursed amulet interaction, and a carried delivery crate are different progression events. The general shop wording and the item description should decide which guide applies.
Take a screenshot or short note before a costly use. Record the build label, server time, item text, inventory weight, and the exact prompt. Beta text and behavior may change independently.
Manage inventory weight before objectives
Current walkthrough footage visibly shows a weight value in the logbook inventory. It does not establish a universal capacity number or exact penalty curve, so use the live display instead of a fixed recommendation.
Leave free capacity before searching for a crate or purchasing an unknown item. Put recovery, food, drink, light, and the objective item in deliberate hotbar positions. Avoid opening the inventory in a doorway or exposed route simply to reorganize.
If an item cannot be collected, check weight, slot space, the interaction prompt, ownership, and whether another player already holds the objective. Do not immediately label the item broken. Change one condition, then retry.
Separate tools, supplies, and objectives
A tool changes how you approach a threat. A supply supports health or survival needs. An objective item advances a badge, delivery, or other milestone. One object can overlap categories, but assigning a primary role prevents accidental use.
The flamethrower is a threat-interaction tool because the official condition names the Beast. A medallion is a purchase milestone with unknown current effects. A cursed amulet is a hazardous interaction because the official description explicitly links its spirit to player death.
Delivery crates should remain part of route planning, not casual inventory cleanup. The carrier needs open capacity and an escort. See Night Deliveries for the objective and Maps for navigation.
Test an unfamiliar item safely
Test during a low-stakes run rather than during a season no-death attempt, blackstone delivery, or high-risk push. Choose a known shelter and fallback. Tell the group what will be used and who will observe.
Record the state before activation: health, hunger, thirst, stamina, risk, location, time, and nearby threats. Use the item once. Record visible changes, sounds, consumption, cooldown indicators, spawned entities, and badge awards. Do not infer an invisible stat from one survival or one death.
Repeat only when the cost is acceptable. A result observed once is a useful report, not a universal rule. A repeat in the same build is stronger; a repeat across new servers is stronger again.
Plan item use around the Beast
Keep the escape route more important than the item. The flamethrower badge proves an interaction, not protection. A light may improve visibility, but no reviewed official source says that light repels the Beast. Recovery supplies help only if the player can leave the attack lane.
Assign another player to watch the approach while the tester reads or equips an object. Clear doors and stairs before starting. If the Beast changes direction, abandon the test and follow the group’s fallback call.
After contact, verify consumption and inventory state. If a badge was expected, check the Roblox award rather than repeating the danger immediately.
Buy items without inventing an economy
Official badges confirm opening the general store, buying an item from the shop, and buying a medallion. They do not publish currency names, prices, stock rotation, prerequisites, refunds, or whether progress is shared.
Read the live price and requirement before confirming. Preserve enough supplies for the return route. Verify the transaction, new inventory entry, weight change, and badge independently. A badge can confirm a milestone without proving the item’s effect.

Troubleshoot item interactions
If a prompt does not appear, move out of overlapping geometry, face the object, reduce inventory weight, and check whether the item belongs to another player. Rejoin only after the simple conditions have been tested.
If an item disappears, check the hotbar, inventory pages, carried-object state, badge history, and any visible drop. Do not promise restoration or persistence without current evidence. If a purchased item is missing after a server change, record the exact sequence for a beta report.
If a hazardous item causes an unexpected result, preserve the observation without turning it into a guaranteed mechanic. Location, season, server build, nearby players, and order of actions may matter.
Item evidence boundary
The official badge API checked August 27, 2026 confirms the medallion purchase, flamethrower-versus-Beast, and cursed-amulet spirit objectives. Current Remake walkthrough footage supports the visible inventory, weight, hotbar, supplies, carried object, and Beast encounter context. Exact catalogs, prices, stats, locations, probabilities, fuel, damage, buffs, curses, and persistence remain Needs in-game testing.
Start with Medallions for a purchase, Flamethrower for a Beast tool, or Cursed Amulets for the dangerous interaction.
